Wormie World is an annual scavenger hunt that takes place in Sacramento, CA featuring handmade ceramic worms. It is a free event that anyone can participate in. The worms are hidden on the day of the event all around Sacramento and then the hint videos are released throughout the day on Instagram.

This year's event starts on Saturday October 17th, 2026 at 8:00am. This is when the first set of hints will be released on the Wormie World Instagram and TikTok.

The main hiding areas occur in midtown, downtown, East Sacramento, Oak Park, Curtis Park, Land Park, West Sac, and Old Sac.

In the event that more than one worm is hidden at the same location, we ask that you only take one and leave the others for other participants to find. However, if you find wormies in different locations, you can have more than one. Feel free to trade your wormies with a hidden one if you like it more. We just ask that you take home a max of 3 worms as there are more participants than wormies.

YES!! Anyone is welcome to make and hide their own wormies as a part of wormie world! Just tag @wormieworld_official so on IG & TikTok so we can repost your worms and hints!
